Paula Parish is a seasoned publishing professional with over 30 years' experience in educational and academic publishing. As senior commissioning editor at Cambridge University Press (2006-2016), she built a well-respected Business & Management books programme comprising graduate textbooks, reference works, professional books and monographs. At Pearson Education (2000-2006), she held a variety of positions, progressing from desk editor, to textbook development, to commissioning editor (Education). Key projects included the market-leading 'Exploring Corporate Strategy' by Johnson, Scholes & Whittington.
From 1987 to 2000, she worked as a freelance editor, handling a range of short and long-term projects, including language research for the Cambridge International Dictionary of English (1993-95). She was a compiler of a new online thesaurus for Microsoft, and has proofread projects as diverse as self-sufficiency for smallholders, schools Shakespeare and a range of learner dictionaries for Longman (Pearson).
